Cash Back
When do the cash back rewards become available for use? Your $20 cash back reward is available on the purchase following your first $60 transaction using the Wedge App.
Do the rewards expire? If so, after how long? Cash back in the Wedge app will be valid for one (1) year from the date of accrual after which point the cash back will expire.
Can I combine my cash back reward with other discounts, my Cannabis Club points or promotions? Yes.
Is there a minimum purchase amount to earn cash back? There is minimum purchase of $60 to receive the introductory offer of $20 cash back.
How can I check my cash back balance? Simply open the Wedge app to view your cash reward balance or loyalty points.
Can I transfer my cash back reward to someone else? No.
What happens to my reward if I return an item? If you return an item you will receive Story store credit for that item. Your Wedge app will not be credited.
Can I use partial amounts of my cash back, or is it all-or-nothing? Yes, cash back can be used just like cash for transactions and applied in $0.01 increments.
Can I convert my cash back to actual cash or is it only for in-store credit? Cash back can only be used for in-store credit at Story and cannot be converted to cash.
What happens to my accumulated cash back if the program ends? The cash back may still be redeemable in participating stores. In the event Story elects to no longer use Wedge, Story will decide whether to convert the cash back into store credit or loyalty points at its discretion.
About The Wedge App
Who is Wedge? Wedge is a payment solution that allows you to tap-to-pay at participating Story Cannabis stores with funds directly from your existing bank accounts while continuing to earn your loyalty points.
How are Story and Wedge affiliated? Wedge is a payment service provider to Story.
Are you federally insured and compliant? We are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. However we do not hold your balances within Wedge and therefore have no need for federal insurance
How does your payment platform work with my debit card in a dispensary? When you onboard with Wedge you can link the bank account to which your debit card is connected. Then the funds in that account will be accessible through the Wedge platform. This will allow you pay with your phone through the Wedge App with a simple tap to pay.
Are there any fees to use Wedge as a payment method? There is a 3.5% processing fee on Wedge transactions.
Can I use alternative payment methods such as crypto currency? Not currently. Wedge only supports cash payments at participating dispensaries.
How secure is my financial information when using Wedge? All Wedge transactions are fully encrypted for your protection.
What happens if there’s an unauthorized transaction? Please contact help@wedge.us and we can assist in resolving the issue.
How quickly will transactions be processed? When you make a purchase through Wedge, the money is transferred from your account through the ACH network within 1-3 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.
Can I link multiple payment sources (e.g., bank accounts, credit cards)? And can I pay with multiple sources? A user can link multiple checking accounts and can pay from multiple sources including loyalty points and any number of linked accounts. Currently, credit cards are not supported.
What customer support options are available if I have issues? You can chat with a Story employee or use Wedge support in the app or via email to help@wedge.us
Is my personal data shared with third parties? Wedge will never sell your data and only shares personal information when essential to providing you our service. We diligence each service provider to ensure they are compliant with data protection laws and to ensure that they will not use your data for any unintended purpose.
How do I know Wedge is secure? Wedge has partnered with industry leader, Plaid to utilize their fraud prevention services to minimize fraud within the Wedge experience.
What happens if I lose my phone or it’s stolen? Wedge has the same security measures as your bank. The application is only accessed using facial recognition so your account will be safe and secure even if someone else recovers your phone.
How do refunds work with this payment method? Wedge does not support funds reimbursement. Returns and refunds should be handled by the dispensary. Refunds are made in cash or store credit depending on the dispensary’s policy.
Is the app available for both iOS and Android devices? Yes!
How long has this payment partner been in business? Wedge has been in operation for over 3 years.
Is the app compliant with industry security standards (e.g., PCI DSS)? Wedge does not store any PCI information, but has partnered with Plaid who stores this information and who is compliant with all applicable data laws.
Can I view my transaction history in the app? Yes, all your transaction information will be visible in the Wedge App.
How do I update my linked payment information if it changes? By navigating to ‘Settings’ > ‘Funding Sources’ in the Wedge app, users can update their payment information.
What happens to my data if I decide to stop using the app? Please contact help@wedge.us and we can assist in deactivating your account.
How does Wedge compare to traditional credit/debit cards in terms of consumer protection? Wedge’s payment service simply facilitates the transfer of money from your existing account to the dispensary and so all the protections offered by your existing bank account remain in place and are unaffected.
Is two-factor authentication available for added security? Wedge utilizes biometrics native to iOs and Android devices for added customer security.
How will disputes be handled if there’s an issue with a purchase? Please contact help@wedge.us and we can assist in resolving the issue.

Only valid users with an existing, approved Wedge account are eligible to participate in the Wedge offer (the “Offer”). In order to receive cash back from the Offer, the user must make purchases using their Wedge App in an amount equal to or exceeding $60.00 (the “Offer Amount”). Users that fund their purchase with an ACH transfer are responsible for having enough cash in their account to cover the ACH transfer. Once the conditions of the Offer are met an eligible user will receive $20.00 of cash back that can be used for future purchases at participating locations in their account within three (3) business days.
Wedge reserves the right to either decline to grant the Offer, the cash back, or requests to enroll in the Offer in its sole discretion, including for, but not limited to: (1) failure to meet the requirements and qualifications of the Offer; (2) actual or potential fraudulent activity; (3) attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Offer by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair or improper conduct (including, without limitation, the creation of multiple accounts and/or inducing cash back by the payment of compensation); (4) return or rejection of the ACH charge or dispute of such charge for qualifying purchases due to insufficient funds, user dispute or any other reason; or (5) any violation of these Terms and Conditions.
