A legendary strain with mysterious origins, MTF is believed to have been developed over a period of decades in the rich volcanic soils and long summer growing cycles of Alaska’s Matanuska-Susitna Valley. Believed to have been passed down since at least the 1970s or 80s, the names of those who put this one on the map have long since been forgotten. However, the strain has maintained its cult-like status due its cultural impact, unique terpene profile, and early reputation for quality. Its small, thick heart-shaped buds are bright neon green, accented by vibrant orange hairs and amber undertones, all wrapped in a dusting of trichomes reminiscent of the snowy landscapes of its homeland.
On the nose, MTF is complex, leading with a rich blend of spicy chocolate, earthy herbs, and fresh pine. As the buds are broken down, warm cocoa notes deepen, met with sweet berry undertones that intensify as it is handled.
